Infants

TUMMY TIME

Infants spend the majority of their time on their backs (in cribs, car seats, strollers). We practice Tummy Time, allowing them to lay on their stomach while awake and supervised. This helps your baby develop their arm, chest, and neck muscles and promotes motor skills, while also preventing the flattening of the back of the head. Tummy Time also helps your baby build the strength needed for sitting up, rolling over, crawling, and walking.

BABY SIGN LANGUAGE

In our infant childcare and early education program, your baby will begin learning and using simple signs. Baby sign language teaches your infant how to express his or her needs and communicate emotions and desires using simple signs and gestures before developing the ability to speak. Ask us about these signs so you can also communicate with your baby at home the same way!
